What a week...

What a week. A wicked week. A wonderful week. I genuinely enjoyed it, which was my aim, despite a dispiriting Monday with year 11.

And it was people being people that made it so good. People sharing, laughing, complaining, being stuck, being daft - all of it.

What I saw in English was inspiring. I saw children challenged academically - rigorously and in a deeply intellectual, non-patronising way. I saw our most able stretched, and heard them say how they enjoyed it. I saw lively groups reading and acting positively together. I saw reluctant workers achieve something and nervous, frightened children leave exams walking confidently and proudly.

This is down to your work. You should be proud of it.

Let's enjoy doing it again this week.
